Portland to Portland - our version of The Northern Tier

Welcome to our personal travel blog documenting our journey across America on a bike. Starting from Portland, Oregon and ending in Portland, Maine, we will share with you our experiences, challenges, and the beautiful sights we encounter along the way (technically... we started from the coast of Oregon and will finish in Boothbay Harbor, Maine, but "Portland to Portland" was too catchy to resit). Join us on this exciting adventure and feel free to share your thoughts and comments!

We assembled our intended route by connecting portions of several of the routes mapped by the Adventure Cycling Association including the Lewis & Clark Trail, the Trans-American Trail, the Parks, Peaks and Prairies Trail, the North Lakes Trail, the Erie Connector and the Northern Tier.

We will ride West to East and will traverse portions of Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ontario, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.

We look forward to exploring parts of our country we’ve yet to visit, meeting a lot of interesting people along the way, and hopefully escaping the heat and humidity of summer in Florida.
