Tuesday June 6, 2023, 50 miles (80 km) - Total so far: 113 miles (182 km)

Today’s Route:

Todays route included over twenty miles on secluded bike trails, including the Vernonia-Banks Trail and the Rock Creek Trail. These trails also offered plenty of shade. After a very gradual climb at the outset and a nice descent, the route was pretty flat..until the steep, challenging climb into and over Forest Park beginning at around mile 40.

Weather:

Another picture perfect day!

Riding Conditions/Traffic:

As almost half of the route was on bike trails, riding conditions were great. Overall light traffic until we hit the St. John’s Bridge crossing the Willamette River around rush hour.

Fuel for this morning's ride. Great breakfast at The Black Iron Grill!
